What is Pay period?
A pay period is the span of days a paycheck covers, such as two weeks or half a month.
Your stub covers work done between a start date and an end date. You're usually paid a few days after the period ends.
The length of the pay period tells you the pay frequency, which matters when converting a paycheck to annual income.
