StubParse

Turn Gusto paystubs into a spreadsheet

Gusto paystubs list gross earnings, employee taxes, deductions, and where the net pay was deposited. StubParse extracts each section and checks that gross minus taxes and deductions equals net.

Payout details included

When a stub splits net pay across bank accounts, the payout lines come through as fields you can keep or drop from the export.

Employee taxes only

Employer-paid taxes printed for reference are kept out of the net-pay math, so the checks reflect what the employee actually paid.

Fonts that trip up copy-paste

Some Gusto PDFs use embedded fonts that come out garbled when copied. StubParse falls back to OCR on those pages automatically.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Drop the stubs

PDFs or photos, one or a batch. Files are read in your browser.

  2. Step 2

    Review the numbers

Every field is editable, and three math checks re-run as you type.

  3. Step 3

    Export

Excel with styled headers, a flat CSV, or JSON. Include YTD or leave it out.
